Housekeeping Attendant – Eltham, Taranaki
Location: Eltham Care Rest Home, Eltham, South Taranaki
Are you a reliable and detail-focused Housekeeper looking to make a meaningful difference? We're seeking a dedicated professional to maintain high standards of cleanliness and comfort at Eltham Care Rest Home. As a Housekeeper, you'll play a vital role in supporting resident wellbeing by creating a safe, hygienic and welcoming environment, working closely with our care team.
Employment: Part-time position.
Key responsibilities
- Maintaining cleanliness across resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas and staff spaces
- Managing the laundering, folding and delivery of linen and personal clothing with care and respect
- Carrying out minor garment repairs and maintaining hygiene standards in laundry areas
- Following infection control and Health & Safety protocols diligently
- Communicating positively with residents and staff
- Completing ongoing training
About you
- Proven experience in housekeeping, laundry or cleaning (aged care preferred)
- A caring and respectful approach toward elderly residents
- Physical fitness and strong time management
- A positive, adaptable mindset
- Flexibility to work rostered shifts, including weekends
- Understanding of resident rights, dignity and privacy
