Steele Park Home opens in Hamilton East

Steele Park Home, owned and managed by aged care services provider Sound Care Group, officially opened its doors to the Hamilton East community through an on-site event on Thursday, 7 July.

Steele Park Home is a newly refurbished and renovated 39-bed facility offering rest home, hospital level, day stay and respite services for older people. It is the sixth facility operated by Sound Care Group, which also operates rest homes located in Whangarei, Athenree, Cambridge, South Taranaki and North Dunedin.

Group owner and director Ms Carly Mangulabnan said: "I look forward to welcoming Hamilton residents and their whanau to Steele Park Home. We're happy to present a comfortable, newly renovated, and modern facility, within walking distance to town amenities and manned by our caring team who will make sure our residents get the level of expert care they need."

The opening activities were highlighted by a powhiri officiated by Matua Taki Turner, a taonga of Waikato. Also present were Waikato DHB's Rachel Haswell and Eldernet director Esther Perriam, along with other guests and staff. The ribbon cutting was led by Group owner and director Carly Mangulabnan, assisted by Group Clinical Manager Francis Soy and Clinical Support Manager Raechell Ann Lopez.
